Say which day, the Word as you wrote it, what you expected, and what happened. A screenshot helps. Add your iOS version and the build number shown in TestFlight. Never send a proof photo unless we ask for it.
Where Settings are
Open You, then tap SETTINGS. The rows of this build: your name, Subscription, Restore, Notifications, Sounds, Vibrations, "Proof read on KEPT's server" (KEPT Eye), "Usage stats", Privacy, Terms, Support, Erase my record.
KEPT Eye
Where it reads. KEPT's server (Google Cloud, Zurich) receives your Word and your proof, and passes them to Anthropic's model (United States or another country), which reads them. A timer's run is checked by KEPT's server alone.
It asked once, and you said NOT NOW. Then KEPT Eye reads nothing, and nothing is sent. On Review you choose: continue on your word — the Word is kept Declared, never Verified — or ALLOW KEPT EYE, which asks again. Later, "Proof read on KEPT's server" in Settings turns it on.
It said no, or could not see. Retake the photo. If it still cannot see, the Word offers two honest doors: keep it on your word (Declared) or close it. Neither is Verified, and the app says so.
A proof is waiting. Offline, or the server away, the proof stays on your phone and is asked again by itself — within minutes at first, then at every opening. Opening KEPT asks again at once.
It was wrong. Write to us with the day and the Word. A person reads every message. Without the identifier your phone holds, we cannot find your verdict on the server; we never see the photo.
Witnesses
One person per link. Tap SEND THE LINK, choose the Word, and send the link by any app. The first Apple Account to accept it takes the seat; their name appears on the row once they accept. A second Word for the same person needs no new link: "Share with …".
Their WITNESSED and SEEN marks, and the line "… saw it.", arrive when you open KEPT. Background delivery is not reliable in this build.
To stop: ⋯ on the row, Remove. Your shared space is deleted; their copy goes with it. As a witness: Hide, Leave, or Block from the ⋯ menu. Report prepares an e-mail to us; it is sent only when you send it.
Subscriptions
In a TestFlight build, purchases are test purchases and are not charged. Manage or cancel in the Settings app: your name, then Subscriptions, then KEPT. If a plan does not show, tap Restore in Settings; if it still does not, write to us.
A new phone
Your Words are not synced to iCloud in this build. A new phone starts empty. Keep the old one until you have what you need.
Delete everything
Settings → Erase my record deletes, on this phone, your Words, Holds, Weeks, photos, notifications, your name, your KEPT Eye answer and the installation identifier (a new one is drawn), removes the rows from your iCloud, and leaves the Words you witness and removes your witnesses through their own doors. It does not reach what was already sent — usage counts, crash reports, request lines, judge answers and daily counts under the old identifier, Week receipts, a Month on us already recorded — and a Month earned and not yet applied stays yours.
What KEPT cannot do
- Edit, rename or delete one signed Word or one proof.
- Change a verdict after the fact.
- Read your shared space, your Words or your photos: they are on your phone and in your own iCloud.
- Bring your Words back after the app is deleted.
- Tell which server lines are yours without the identifier your phone holds.
Report something
If someone shares something abusive with you, open the Word, tap ⋯, then Report this word, and pick a reason. The author leaves your screen at once and an e-mail to us opens. You can also write to hello@ikept.org. To stop seeing someone for good, choose Block: their new links join nothing.
